Technical Assistance
A major focus of CELL is technical assistance on early literacy practices for young children birth to 6 years of age. We are pleased to make available on-line technical assistance for promoting the use of CELL practices. We have a variety of different methods, materials, and practices that can be used to conduct training on early literacy. The framework for organizing available research evidence and the many CELL tools is described in the CELLpaper (Volume 1 Number 1).
Specialized technical assistance is being used to scale up the adoption and use of policies, practices, and implementation strategies that promote widespread, sustained use of evidence-based early literacy learning practices by early childhood intervention programs serving young children, birth to five years of age, and their families, to achieve outcomes that are socially and developmentally important and valued. The scaling-up model is described in one of our CELLpapers (Volume 1, Number 2).
The materials are organized to make it easy to locate relevant information for training purposes and use with parents. If you need help or more information contact one of our specialists listed in the right column.
The training model for CELL Technical assistance is based upon our Participatory Adult Learning Strategy (PALS). To learn more about this read: Let’s Be PALS - An Evidence-Based Approach to Professional Development.
