Sounds Like...
Most preschoolers are fairly adept at using speech to communicate their wants and needs to those around them, and they are ready to start doing more complicated tasks with language. Playing games that help your preschooler practice skills like rhyming, listening for different sounds, and blending sounds together will help him get ready for reading and writing later on.
