Evidence-Based Practices

CELL practice-based research syntheses focus on the identification of those practice characteristics that are related to variations in communication, languages, and literacy-related competencies. The practice characteristics are then used to develop evidence-based practice guides that can be used by practitioners, parents, and other caregivers to promote early literacy-related skills of young children with disabilities or delays. Practice guides are all prepared following the same four-step process: (1) What is the practice?, (2) What does the practice look like?, (3) How do you do the practice?, and (4) How do you know the practice worked?
